For me, travel is a creative act. As I travel, I see the world in frames and seek to capture moments and places within the limits of a camera, still or moving. I've been traveling since I was born and by 3 years old I had seen most of the southeastern part of the US from the back of a Volkswagen bug.
My love of photography began one day when I picked up a Polaroid camera and the most amazing shot came out of one click. I soon learned photography was more than luck and have discovered the unexpectedness of the Holga camera and the freedom of the digital age.
I take pictures of everything and with all types of cameras. I like old, new, film, digital, phone, professional, throw away, instant - it's all a way to express what I see in the world.
When I travel, I like to find the little things that capture a place or culture. Sometimes it's a cup of tea, a flower, or a famous landmark in a new way that evokes that memory of place.
I'm a work in progress and I look forward to seeing where this creative outlet takes me.
